Cannot find Compact Database with no database open due to moved to Tools.
Cause:
The 'Compact Database...' command has been moved to the 'Database Utilities' submenu under the 'Tools' menu.
Solution:
To compact a database in Access 7.0, select 'Database Utilities' from the 'Tools' menu and select 'Compact Database...'. Then specify the database to compact and a name for the compacted version, and click 'Save'.
NOTE: 'Database Utilities' is only available when ALL databases are closed.
1) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Database Utilities'. (A submenu appears.)
2) Select 'Compact Database...'. (The Database to Compact From dialog box appears.)
3) Select the drive and/or folder containing the database to compact from the 'Look in' drop-down list box.
4) Select the database to compact from the 'Look in' list box.

5) Click 'Compact'. (The Compact Database Into dialog box appears.)
6) Type a name for the compacted version of the database in the 'File name' box.
